Our Company was founded in 1994 and took its name from the date the Arts Centre was built as a Quaker Meeting House in 1812. We got off to a good start with a play, Beulah, written specially for us by local playwright, James Robson, whose plays have been performed at many theatres, including at Derby, Leeds and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
