Extracts from a review: "...the performers are a triumph, playing confidently with their roles in a wonderful array of accents and costumes, ensuring the stage is never dull....In particular, Vicki Hill gives a feisty performance as Sylvia and David Goodwin has some glorious rich-voiced asides as Kite.
But the real show-stealer is the stage itself - highly professional lighting bathes a simple white set which is cleverly manipulated to provide a range of settings.
Set changes are so well co-ordinated they merge effortlessly into the scenes themselves and, on odd occasions, provide great entertainment...the audience even applauded when two pillars were transformed into trees at the twist of a switch, casting atmospheric woodland shadows across the stage furniture.
For me, the play was elevated to another level with the performance of a lone fiddler on a stage representing everything real and beautiful about the performance. I would highly recommend this production." (Claire Metcalfe, Evening Press)
