1812 Live: Keep Your Hair On Mr Musk - last day to view!

Tune in quick and enjoy, today (4th Nov) is the last day to view! (Please note the intro slide plays for a while... stick with it!)

The 1812 Live! project developed from the very successful Light Up HAC fundraising through Local Giving which generated some money to produce recorded, live streamed Covid-safe performances and sharings for our community to enjoy from their own homes.  We were keen to work with local writers and creatives to support them in their work, and connect as many people from our community in the project as possible.  John Lister has been involved in theatre since 1967 and before joining 1812 in 2009 wrote plays and sketches for a wide variety of theatre groups.  For the 1812 Live! project he was keen to write something topical that  explored how new beginnings and hope for the future could be experienced from the most unlikely events.  "Keep Your Hair On Mr Musk!" is a mixture of pathos, comedy, music and dodgy dancing!

We were delighted to involve 1812 member Michele Hopley as producer, Steve Woolmer (SW Productions and freelance Technical manager at Helmsley Arts Centre), Em Whitfield-Brooks (former Helmsley Arts Centre and 1812 Panto Director), Alastair Coughlin (former 1812 member who is now making his way in the professional theatre) and Claire Marlein who has performed in several "White Lodge" productions with John and who is also making her way in the professional theatre.
