The history of Helmsley as you’ve never heard it before — from the Norman Conquest and the arrival of the monks of Rievaulx to Wordsworth on his honeymoon and fearsome Vicar Gray in his pulpit. These and many other episodes in the making of the town are re-told by our own 1812 Theatre Co in verse, song and fast-moving comic action, with words by Martin Vander Weyer and music by Kate Fenton.
