When kindly but accident-prone Mr Purvis volunteers to help at his local church, vicar's wife Rachel thinks she has fobbed him off with the non-position of Health & Safety Officer. How wrong she is. Mr Purvis throws himself into the role with enthusiasm and everything will be fine; as long as nobody goes near the new hole in the graveyard, the new spring-loaded organ loft door or Mrs Armitage's banana cake.
