Join woodworker and author Tom Trimmins for a relaxing morning of green woodworking – carving freshly cut, unseasoned wood with just some simple tools and your imagination.
We’ll explore how to work with the natural properties of green wood and learn safe use and care of the tools whilst making a whimsical little boat with a leaf for a sail. I like to make these boats and set them sailing across a lake or river carrying a thought or intention with them. Wood and knives will be provided. This workshop is entirely suitable for beginners, or offers something a little bit different for anyone interested in wood, whatever your level of expertise. Open to anyone 18+.
