Making Our Own World - A Community Myriorama

Please note this project will be delivered via Zoom. The deadline for booking a place is midday on Wednesday 10th February, to allow us time to process, pack and deliver your materials pack to you at home before the workshop on Saturday 21st Febraury, 1-3pm.

Do you ever just wish you could build your own world, full of all the things you love the most?

Well, let’s have a go with the help of a Myriorama.

What is a Myriorama exactly? It’s a pack of picture cards, each depicting a landscape scene. Pop them next to one another, in any order and they always match and make one long scene! In fact, a pack of 12 cards has 479, 001, 600 possible outcomes! That’s a lot of new worlds we
can make!

Sign up to this relaxed Sunday afternoon workshop to make not one but two Myrioramas. You’ll make one set of cards to keep and one big card that will come back to the HAC and be part of the Helmsley Community Myriorama - to be exhibited at the Arts Centre. Who knows what world we’ll come up with!

In the workshop we’ll look at some of the amazing things you can do with shading, blotting, splattering and bleeding ink! You’ll even get all the goodies you need in a special pack so you don’t need to worry about materials.

The course is just £15 and for that you’ll receive a materials pack and a 2 hour online workshop with artist Tabitha Grove.

If you need any extra support with the online element of the course, just let us know.
