Join us on the stage at HAC for a fun exploration of Shakepeare with actor and coach, Josie Campbell.
Two workshops with the option to attend 1 or 2! (see bottom of the page for link to 2nd workshop)
We’ll start with improvising/re-working the selected scenes in contemporary language, reinterpreting characters and dialogue to fit the new setting. Then, in pairs/small groups, we will explore scenes using a variety of activities drawn from Chekhov (Psychological Gesture, the Imaginary Centre of Attention) and Stanislavski (the Magic ‘if’, Given Circumstances, Objectives), and perhaps sprinkling in some Laban (Float, Punch, Glide, Slash, Dab, Wring, Flick, Press).
