Acting for Screen for 16-22 year olds
Discover what it takes to perform naturally and authentically for the camera in this practical introduction to acting for screen. Participants will explore the key differences between stage and screen performance, considering how techniques adapt to suit framing, shot size, continuity and the demands of film and television production.
Working with a professionally written scene, participants will analyse character, objectives and relationships before rehearsing and performing to camera. Using playback, they will reflect on their performances, developing an understanding of how subtle choices can transform a scene while gaining an insight into professional screen acting practice.
This engaging workshop is suitable for participants of all experience levels and offers a valuable introduction to screen performance while building confidence, communication and collaborative working skills.
