I am an instinctive and emotive painter. My pictures take form through the process of painting, and not through strict adherence to a fully formulated plan. I aspire to infuse my pictures with fluidity, energy, colour and texture. My aim is to achieve a balance, a harmony and a completeness that encapsulates the essence of what I feel. I always want to transfer my emotional energy into a painting, and my work builds up in layers over time until I feel that I have arrived at what I would best describe as an authenticity. All of my paintings are created using acrylics, palette knives and brushes.
