The Arts Society Helmsley - Dumfries House: An Ayrshire Renaissance

Charlotte Rostek was recently appointed Head of the Glasgow branch of Scottish Auctioneers Lyon
& Turnbull.  She retains strong links with Dumfries House in Ayrshire, the 18 th Century Adam
designed stately home which was saved for the nation by HRH The Prince Charles in 2007. An
inaugural curator there, Charlotte has played a key role in the renaissance of this heritage treasure,
transforming it from a virtually unknown secret to a much visited building, vibrant Royal residence
and leading model of heritage-led regeneration.

The National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies has changed its name to The Arts Society. The Helmsley branch is now The Arts Society Helmsley

Lectures are held in Helmsley Arts Centre auditorium at 7.15pm
