Sashiko Embroidered Cushion Covers with Poppy Oldham

Come and explore a traditional style of Japanese folk embroidery; Sashiko. This day long workshop will work towards creating a decorative cushion cover while also rewarding you with a timeless skill to be altered and enjoyed as your confidence develops. This type of hand embroidery is suitable for everyone, including those unfamiliar with stitching or alternatively looking to develop an existing skill. Sashiko uses a meditative variation of running stitch, which is used to create patterns of straight or curved lines, arranged in a repeating pattern.
