Anna Vialle Exhibition

I discovered my style 2 years ago after 30 years of frustration trying to find it!

I was trying to relax after some difficult shifts as a mental health nurse when I started a piece called Cucullia argentea, a pen and watercolour illustration of 24 individually drawn moths. I found it very relaxing drawing something so intrinsically detailed over and over again. I found myself focusing so intensely that I was able to forget the worries of work.

My focus is precision drawn, pen and watercolour drawings.  I am inspired by the colours and designs of Victorian prints, Japanese woodblock prints & my passion for nature.  My subjects have evolved from insects and now I also really enjoy drawing birds, landscapes, and anatomy.
