A Trip to Thorp Perrow - Organised by The Friends of Helmsley Arts Centre

Thorp Perrow is situated close to the historic town of Bedale in the Yorkshire Dales. Not only is it a family house, but has the most important Arboretum in the North of England. The Arboretum covers 100 acres and is currently home to 5 National Plant collections and 51Champion Trees.   It is home to some of the largest and rarest trees and shrubs in England. There are also displays at the Birds of Prey and Mammal Centre.

October is a glorious month to see the Arboretum at its best in a blaze of autumnal colour.  

A guided tour has been arranged for our party and will enhance your visit.  

Mobility scootersavailable if booked in advance at £3. Please book through our box office at time of ticket purchase.

An excellent on site café will cater for your food and beverage  requirements, and our bus will pick you up at various points in Ryedale
